Accepting responsibility for your life doesn’t mean you beat yourself up every time you do something you are not happy with yourself about, or get mad every time things don’t go your way. Accept is the key word in the title. Accept whatever happened and then decide what if anything you are going to or want to do to change the situation. You can’t control the weather, the market, others, or nature. What you can control is how you are going to respond to what happened in this present moment. That is what you are accepting responsibility for. Blaming others or circumstances is a waste of time that you could be using to decide on or act on your decision. Accepting responsibility for your life doesn’t include an mind adventures into the past or the future. Accepting responsibility always happens in the present moment, because the present moment is the only time you can do anything. If you did something your aren’t happy with yourself about, accept that you did and then decide what you are going to do right now if anything.
